Ellagee's Vacation & Three Years of Sparkle

***Press Sample***

I spent all of yesterday - ALL OF IT - thinking it was Thursday.  When you're a stay at home mom and your hubs is out of town, all the days flow together, and don't even ask me the date.  And this isn't the first time that's happened :P  If I didn't have this blog, I'd probably float in this dateless dayless world.

But enough about that nonsense - let's get to some polish!!

Ellagee is one of my favorite indies.  Her polish has great formula, she comes out with some stuff that's on par with what's popular, but a lot of stuff that's unique.  I love that :)

She sent me two gorgeous polishes that I somehow let slip by without purchasing and asked me to swatch them.  Who am I to say no to one of my favorite indies?!

I'll show you the first stunner - Vacation

Direct Sunlight - Holoooooo!!!!

Vacation is a stunning nude/gold-leaning holo.  It's just...I mean...it's perfection.  I love it, it has become my new go-to holo nude.  It applies super smoothly, opaque in 2-3 coats (depending on how thick you apply them), and dries in under 5 minutes.  I love it with black stamping, and will have to go back and do another mani with black stamping over every nail.  And I tell you, the holo in this is ASTOUNDING - it's a huge distraction when outside and/or driving.  It should come with a warning label.

And here we have Three Years of Sparkle

Three Years of Sparkle is a gorgeous berry/magenta-ish jelly packed with, well, SPARKLE!!  Same easy application, same 2-3 coats to make it opaque.  And same amount of distraction - holy wowzers.  The sparkle in this is less holo, but still BAM!  It's really striking, and again, needs a warning label or something.  I sponged it on over Vacation on my ring finger using vinyls from What's Up Nails, and I think the two go super well together.  They make a great distraction team :P

These two lovelies are available for purchase now at the shop link below!

So tell me - what do you think??  Do you own either of these?  If not, do you want to? :D  Let me know in the comments!

Black Label Nails R-O-C-K in the USA Trio

***Press Sample***

Busy day ahead of me so I'll be keeping this short and getting right to the point!  Black Label Nails has come out with a 4th of July Trio called R-O-C-K in the USA.

We'll start with R-O-C-K in the USA: Red

Red is a red jelly.  The formula is a bit patchy on this one, even at 3 coats (as shown above), but would be perfect as a base for a glitter, or to use in a jelly stampwich :D

Next is R-O-C-K in the USA: Blue

Blue is a bright blue chrome.  Opaque in 3 coats, as shown above.

And lastly is R-O-C-K in the USA: Fireworks

Fireworks is a glitter topper filled with white stars, red metallic glitters, small blue matte glitters, and holographic bar glitters.  Some of the larger glitters needed some encouragement to spread out, but the topper overall is pretty fun, definitely reminiscent of fireworks!  Shown above as 1 coat over Red and Blue.

Since it is for the 4th, I *had* to do some nail art with the three :D

R-O-C-K in the USA Trio is available now at the Black Label Nails shop linked below!

Do you all have any upcoming plans for the 4th?  Would love to hear all about it in the comments below!

Baroness X - L'Heure Bleue Collection

***Press Sample***

It's definitely Monday.

I will spare you the specifics and we'll just leave it at "It's definitely Monday."

I've got a lovely new collection to show you today from Baroness X called "L'Heure Bleue."

This collection inspired by the Blue Hour after sunset.  Let's get to the swatches :)

First up: Sweet Light

Sweet Light is a lovely cream pink that looks pretty killer under a black light :D  Opaque in 2 coats as shown above, and dries to a satin finish, as shown on my ring finger.

Next: "Vespertine"

Vespertine is a lovely deep blue with dark purple undertones and a brilliant pink with subtle holographic shimmer.  Two easy coats to make this opaque.  The last shot is shown in direct sunlight.

And lastly we have: Eventide

Eventide is a cobalt blue jelly with pink/orange to green shifting glitters in various sizes.  Shown above in 2 coats with topcoat.  It's AWESOME!  Here's how it looks over Vespertine:

And here it is over Sweet Light:

I love how it looks over Sweet Love :D  And I love how those pink/orange shifting glitters really stand out when over Vespertine!

You can purchase these three polishes today at 3pm PST!  Shop and social links below:

Want to also shine light on the gorgeous galaxy soap she sells in her shop - it smells uh-may-zing (if you can bring yourself to use it, it's so pretty!).

What do you think of this collection?  Let me know in the comments!

Octopus Party Nail Lacquer New Releases

***Press Sample***

I was going to title this the Rave but not Rave collection as a joke for some of us in the fan group, who are set that this was turning out to be a Rave collection :P  But then I thought people may not actually read this post and find out that's not the name of the polishes, then have a conniption fit when they couldn't find the Rave but not Rave collection :P

Anyway!

Dave of Octopus Party Nail Lacquer recently released four new colors for summer.  So here's some swatch porn for you :D

Let's start with Disco Tech:

Blacklight Shot - BAM!

Disco Tech is an awesome purple jelly packed with various sized neon orange dots.  It's packed, but it's not super thick, like oh so many other glitter-packed polishes.  I am wearing 3 thin coats and a topcoat in the photos above over my nekkid nails.  Yeah you can see my Visible Nail Line through it - I've got naughty nails, what can I say?

Next up: Sobriquet

Sobriquet is a vampy deep, dark blue (like, Midnight Zone blue) with a smattering of blue shimmer.  It's so freakin' gorgeous, folks.  I luffles it.  My favorite of the four new polishes.  I'm wearing 2 coats with a topcoat.

Here we have: Blessed Be The Tide That Binds

Blessed Be the Tide That Binds is a sparkletastic glitter topcoat packed with various sized green and blue holo glitters, as well as a turquoise flakie shimmer.  It's glorious.  I am wearing 1 coat over Sobriquet on all fingers but the ring finger - that one's doing a solo act with 2 coats.  All nails are topcoated.

And lastly we have: Racqueteering

Racqueteering is a HOLY CRAP neon citron color - very reminiscent of a tennis ball.  I just can't with this one - it's a perfect neon with incredibly smooth application, and opaque in 2 coats with no basecoat.  You read that right,  NO BASECOAT.  *I die...and come back.*

You want these?  Oh c'mon, yes you do!  There will be a small re-stock this morning of the leftover bottles from the last launch.  When?  11AM EST.  Here are some linkages:
